Homework

Each Term there will be a new Homework Menu set for Grade 3, which will be posted on Class Dojo. Please refer to the Term 1 Homework Menu sent out on class story from your class teacher. All homework tasks are to be submitted by taking a picture and posting it to your child’s Class Dojo portfolio. This way the class teacher can provide feedback directly to students.

Please ensure your child is practicing the weekly spelling words and times tables on a regular basis.

Lessons and extra homework will be uploaded on to your child’s google classroom regularly, please ensure your child is connected and is accessing it.

Online Platform Logins:

Students should log in to the online learning platforms such as Bug Club (reading), Literacy Planet (spelling) and Times Table Rockstars (times tables) at home. If you have any problems with these online platforms please let your class teacher know.

Trips and Visits this year

This term we are planning a trip to Pizza Express. Children can spend a lively morning with learning about good food, tasting fresh ingredients, and of course, making authentic, Italian pizza. Afterwards they can complete procedural writing about how to make a pizza. Links with the digestive system also in Science and measuring ingredients and amounts in Maths.

We will hopefully go on some more trips later in the year to places such as Xtremezone and the Louvre Museum.

Extra Curricular Activities

At Wales International School we are proud to offer a wide range of activities to enhance the children's experiences at school. From arts and crafts, to sports clubs, quiz club and Qu’ran club, the children can choose an activity that inspires and ignites their imagination.

We also have a number of children who are regularly taking part in activities in the community and we would love to share in their successes with them.

Absence and lateness

Children need to be in school by 7:45 am so that they do not miss assembly and the National Anthem at the start of the day. Please ensure that your child arrives at school ontime.

School finishes at 2:30pm

If your child is unwell and is unable to come to school, please message your child’s teacher on dojo or contact Miss Nessma or Mr Mostafa. Children should bring a signed sick note into school when they are well enough to return.
