    • Family engagement with bilingual ESOL staff, interpreting and translation services
    • Implementing strategies to increase reclassification of ELs: differentiation, grading practices, assignment and assessment modifications; reducing absenteeism/ increasing family involvement
    • Increasing our investments: content teachers certified in ESOL, pathways to ESOL certification, PD, multilingual tutors
  • Next Steps:
    • Bilingual liaison to welcome newly arrived immigrant students and their families
    • Monitor identified schools to determine eligibility for a 2-way dual language immersion program in the future
