Military ruler who rose to power following a civil war.
The Samurai
Japanese warriors who usually served military rulers.
The Mongol Invasion
Mongolia
They were stopped twice by storms. After that samurai were no longer needed much.
The Ronin
Samurai without masters (or jobs) who often ignored bushido.
Though historically they didn’t last long the Samurai left a lasting impact on Japanese culture.
NINJAS
Originally, secret warriors who fought for the peasants against the samurai.
Fought using stealth and any weapons they could find – No need for Bushido!
Later, the Shogun paid off the ninjas and they became his personal assassins.
