  • FSHISD made rapid advancements in one year, but front line support for teachers needed improvement
  • In Spring 2008, Dr. Rios asked HS counselor if he could have “student aides” the next year
  • And in 2008-2009 school year … the FSHISD Student Tech Interns Program was born!

The goal of the student tech intern experience is to successfully utilize the skills of our students to provide technology support to students and staff.

Chromebook Support

  • We have a 1-1 Chromebook Program at Cole
  • As interns, we …
    • Prep new Chromebooks (connect to wifi, enroll in domain, etc.)
    • Assist new students with their Google Apps for Education accounts
    • Troubleshoot and offer assistance to teachers and students with GAFE

  • They expect us to be well versed in all “basic” GAFE apps

  • We also provide support to teachers/students new to Classroom
  • While not “G-Suite” we offer support for teachers with GoGuardian
