  • Member notifies immediate supervisor of an issue
  • verbally
  • Follow up in Writing

Stage 2 Compliant Stage

  • Employee raises the issue to union
  • Union organizes a meeting with HR
  • Response in writing from HR/Management

4 of 5

Stage 3 Grievance

  • No resolution
  • File a grievance siting the articles that have been violated
  • Meeting to present to HR/Management
  • Written response

5 of 5

Stage 4 Arbitration

  • NO Resolution
  • Grievance is forwarded to OPSEU HO to arrange for arb
  • Two stages:
    • 1. Mediation (settlement)
    • 2. Hearing (award/decision)
