This event sparked WWI because Austria-Hungary (Triple Alliance) declared war on Serbia. Serbia asked Russia (Triple Entente)for help. Russia moved troops towards A-H and Germany(TA). Germany declared war on Russia and France (TE). Then Britain (TE) declared war on Germany.
