Why Lassiter Theatre?
Belong
Students become part of a collaborative theatre community built around shared productions, meetings, clinics and social activities.

Students can perform onstage or contribute through lighting, sound, costumes, makeup/hair, set design, props and backstage work.

Ways Students Can Participate
Drama Club
$40 annual dues��Monthly meetings begin in September on the 3rd Wednesday after school in Room 412.��Students may take part in workshops, field trips, holiday gatherings, and audition for acting roles or apply/interview for tech crew.
Productions
Musicals include lead, supporting and ensemble opportunities.��Tech areas include stage/backstage, lighting, sound, costumes, makeup/hair, props and set design.

Thespian Society
Students earn Thespian points through participation in theatre class and after school productions.��Rising Juniors: Induction eligibility begins at 10 points (approximately 100 hours and participation in 3 shows). ��Induction fee: $75; annual dues: $45.

Management & Leadership
The Commitment: What Families Should Expect
• Typical production rehearsals: 2–3 hours, 3–4 days per week, for up to 12 weeks, usually until about 6:30 pm
• As we approach performance dates, the schedule may run 3–5 days per week, with later evenings until anytime between 7 and 9 pm.
• Students in leadership/management roles may run a bit later.
• Set builds occur about 1–2 Saturdays per month and are required for cast and crew.
• Tech Days (Tech Week/s) are mandatory for actors and tech; rehearsals can run as late as 9:00 pm
• Students should remain at rehearsal through the duration of the rehearsal time and always check in and out with Ms. Keilman
• Students must communicate conflicts and absences with Ms. Keilman via email, check schedules frequently, and arrange prompt pickup.

Costs & Production Requirements
Little Shop of Horrors
Show dues: $290 per actor or tech crew member, due Sept. 10��Script deposit: $25 (Actors and Tech)��Show dues support sets, costumes, equipment rental, professional hires, props and supplies.
Drop Date: Aug. 28- $50 Drop Fee applied after this date��Show dues become non-refundable after Sept. 24
Before Participating
Parent + student production/audition contract��Submit all known conflicts and allergies��Actors audition; tech students apply and interview��Payment plans are available if requested.

Rehearsal and Audition Material
How Parents Can Help
• Volunteer at set builds, strikes, performances, concessions, ticket sales or lobby setup.
• Help with costumes, props, meals, hair/makeup, photography/video, playbills, or publicity.
• Support fundraising, sponsorships and playbill advertising.
• Most importantly: help students honor rehearsal commitments, communicate conflicts and arrive/pick up on time.
• Consider a Booster Club leadership or committee role. Stay for our Booster Election at the end of this meeting to help vote in officers.
