Somersworth High School HiSET Enrollment Process

Counseling Coordinator reaches out to student and parents to set up a meeting to discuss the program.

Student recommendations are discussed at the Tier 2 Student Support Team.

During the meeting, the parent receives the following forms:

• State HiSET waiver (if under 18)
• DALC paper form
• DALC registration form (online)

DALC will be notified that we are in the registration process for the student through email.

Once paperwork is received, signed and completed:

• Email DALC the completed forms
• Exit student from courses and PS
• Notify teachers of the change
• Add student to in house HiSET roster
• Share appropriate paperwork with DALC (504, Accommodations)

DALC will set up the TABE to be completed during Class sessions. Results on the TABE will be communicated to SHS registrar and entered on the NH DOE waiver form.

SHS registrar will fax the DOE waiver form to the state when all TABE scores have been completed.

Registrar assists students with registering in HiSET system, for exams. If needed Counseling Coordinator can assist. Please reference the testing calendar.

SHS will purchase vouchers and help students register for exams, using their accounts, as needed.
