-You are not done with the application when you complete the CCCApply account, don’t stop here!

*If you have taken a dual enrollment class you can select sign in. The new system will require you to verify your email address or phone number. If you encounter any issues when creating your account or signing in click on the HELP option at the bottom right.

Enter a unique mobile phone number or email address in the Mobile Phone input field and click “Email or Text My Verification Code”
Retrieve the six-digit security code from the text message sent to your mobile phone device (or email account) and enter the code on the Verify Your Account page.

Please input your PERSONAL email address, not your high school email.
Complete your Contact Information Tab, Personal Information Tab, and Credentials Tab with your information.

Press the button to start a new application.

MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE APPLYING FOR THE CORRECT TERM.
Spring 2026 is the correct term for NPHS classes in the 24-25 school year

Since your tuition is being waived as a Dual Enrollment student, your Social Security Number is not required so you can select “No” and check this box.

VERY IMPORTANT: On Education page, select “Enrolling in high school and college at the same time”. This is how you will apply as a Dual Enrollment student.

Once you’re done, make sure you review your application, answer the Consent question, mark the checkboxes, and then click submit.
The check marks next to each page title indicates you have completed the page.
DAY 2: SETUP YOUR MYVCCCD PORTAL

Write down your 900 number, then click on the “Start the MyVCCCD Setup Wizard” link.
(Link expires in 20 days, email mcdualenrollment@vcccd.edu for a new one if it expired)

Write down username and temporary password. Click “Account Manager Login”.

It will direct you to the MyVCCCD portal. Type in your username and password from prior page (the ones you wrote down) and login. Your username is in the format ”firstname_lastname_number” and will always remain the same.

Input an alternate email address to receive another One time passcode.

Type in One Time Passcode sent to your alternate email address.

Press “Try to continue logging in”.

Press continue to create a new password.

Follow parameters in green box to create a new password. Once complete, log in with new password.
DAY 2: SETUP CATEMA PORTAL
STUDENT NEEDS COLLEGE ID (“900 NUMBER”)

What is CATEMA?
CATEMA is a secure database where high school teachers report final grades to the college. The grade reported in CATEMA by a teacher is the grade which will appear on a student’s college transcript.
1. Go to www.CATEMA.com and select Ventura Community College District from the list of schools and districts. To avoid issues, be careful not to select any other option!
2. Click “New Students” at the top of the page, then click ‘Create Account” from the drop-down menu.
IF YOU HAVE USED CATEMA BEFORE, Click “Go to Student Login Assistant,” then enter the requested information, click “Add New Enrollment Record,” and skip to Step 5 of this these instructions.)
TIP: Make sure your screen shows this!!
3. Enter ALL of the information requested below. For “College ID” and “Program Preference” use the additional information provided on the right. Click “Next” when finished.
Your “College ID” is the 9-digit number which you should have received in an email after you completed the college application. DO NOT ENTER A CCCID HERE. IF YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED A COLLEGE ID THAT STARTS WITH “900” CONTACT Trevor Hess at thess@vcccd.edu
Select the Program Preference which corresponds to your high school class subject, using the chart below:

4. Make sure all of the information showing is correct. Write down or take a photo of your Assigned UserName and Assigned Password. When finished, click “Yes.”

5. Make sure your high school is correct, then
- Select your Teacher’s Name
- Select your Course Name (including the course number, class title, and the semester)
- Select your Class Period
Click “Submit” and your class information will appear under “My Classes For This School Year,” then you are done. Click “Log Out” in the lower right corner of the screen.
