MODULE OBJECTIVE

El objetivo del presente módulo, COMMUNICATIVE PRACTICE A2, es el siguiente:

​

• Trabajar aspectos comunicacionales a nivel pre-intermedio (A2) que permitan adquirir vocabulario, fluidez y mejorar las habilidades de escucha, discutiendo tópicos relevantes y poniendo en práctica la competencia idiomática de manera hablada.

⚙️ COMPARATIVE ADJECTIVES

We use comparatives to compare two things, people, groups, etc. To make a comparative…

​

1. We add “er” to most one-syllable adjectives. (high → higher, cool → cooler)
2. We double the consonant and add “er” to most one-syllable adjectives ending in consonant + vowel + consonant (CVC). (wet → Wetter, hot → hotter).
3. We delete “y” and add “ier” to most one-syllable and two-syllable adjectives ending with “y”. (windy → windier, dry → drier).
4. We use the word “more” before most adjectives with two or more syllables that don’t end in “y”. (famous → more famous, comfortable → more comfortable)
5. Some comparatives are irregular. (good → better, bad → worse, much/many → more, little → less).

⚙️ SUPERLATIVE ADJECTIVES

We use the superlative form to talk about extreme qualities. We usually use “the” before superlatives. To make the superlative form…

​

1. Add “est” to the end of a one-syllable adjective. (tall → tallest)
2. Add “iest” to the end of a two-syllable adjective which ends in “y”. (Cloudy → Cloudiest)
3. Add “the most” before longer adjectives. (dangerous → the most dangerous)
4. Some superlatives are irregular. (good → best, bad → worst, much/many → most, little → least)
