EHS MTB Season Schedule

April 1 - July 30 - Pre-season activities (bike checks, fun rides, mechanical workshops, skills clinics, volunteer trail work, Coach recruit/training, campout), Jeffco Orientation meetings.
July 31 – Late Oct. - Training rides, regular practices (2-5/week)
Late Aug. – Late Oct., 5 races, every other week

Team�Practices �

Starting July 31

Tuesday/Thursday 4 pm - 5:30/6 - pm

On the bike practices: ride from school into Alderfer/Three Sisters; about 5 - 10 miles, 1.5 - 2 hours

Wednesday 4 pm - 5:30 pm

Dryland/Trail Maintenance/Skills Sessions/Speakers

Weekend Rides (non-race weekends)

Extended riding at areas like Buffalo Creek, Centennial Cone, etc., 3-5 hours, 20-40 miles

Day before the race: travel, pre-ride, equipment and bike check, Pit Zone setup, team meeting
Race Day: 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.: pre-ride, team meeting, opening ceremony and National Anthem, bike and equipment check, staging, race, team support, food and hydrate, Pit Zone tear down, awards, return travel

Race Weekends

Families are responsible for travel
Get hotel or camping reservations for race weekends ASAP; check League website for details
Plan for weather and a long but fun and inspiring day
Race start schedule rotates
Stay for awards if it works for your family - bring a chair
The team tent is a family space - all are welcome - potluck for all
Coaches will help your kids with EVERYTHING

Costs

Team booster club fees = $125
Colorado League registration = $170
Race registration = $75/$260 (optional but encouraged)
Race travel costs (optional and TBD)
Required equipment: mountain bike in good working order, helmet, gloves, glasses, hydration, tool, tire repair
Team race jersey ≈ $75 (required if racing)
Optional: Team BMX jersey, race shorts, baggie shorts
Scholarships are available if needed - please just ask!
