Exclamatory Sentences (Окличні речення)

Formation:

​

1. How / So + adjective / adverb
2. What / Such + a(an) + (adjective) + noun

Exclamatory sentences (окличні речення) вживаються для того, щоб зробити акцент на значенні прикметника / прислівника або іменника

1. How wonderful!

2. What a beautiful day!

3. It was so funny!

4. He’s such an unusual man!

Clauses of Result (Підрядні речення результату)

Formation:

So + adjective / adverb + (that)

He was so bored (that) he left before the end of the film

​

Such + (a / an) + (adjective) + noun + (that)

It was such a hot day that we all went swimming
