Andalusia is an autonomous community formed by eight provinces: Almería, Granada, Málaga, Cádiz, Huelva, Seville, Córdoba and Jaén. It’s situated in the south part of the Iberian Peninsula. The Atlantic and Mediterranean seas bathe Andalusia. Both seas get together on the rock of Gibraltar.
In 711, there was a Muslim invasion in the Iberian Peninsula and Andalusia was named al-Ándalus. That’s why we have such amazing monuments like the Alhambra in Granada or the Alcazaba in Almería.
The green colour in Andalusia’s flag represents hope and union and the white colour represents peace and dialogue.
The lyrics of the hymn appeal to the Andalusians to ask for "land and freedom"
-Almería is located in the southeast of Spain, in Andalusia.

Thanks to the Al-Andalus, we have The Alcazaba.
Due to the Italian conquest and because they were Christians, Almería has a cross in the flag.
-Almería´s weather is usually really warm all year long.
