WHAT IS A PRECINCT ORGANIZER?

1. Duly-elected representatives of the Party within their precinct

2. Rights and Responsibilities

a. Attend all Central Committee Meetings, or designate a proxy.

b. Recruit party workers within their precinct and supervise volunteer activities, as directed by Captains and House District officers.

d. Support all nominees of the Party. Financial contributions are not required.

CAPTAINS

  • Serve as a leader for multiple precincts within a house district.
  • Assist POs in their district wherever possible in the execution of their duties.
  • Assist in the recruitment of PO’s.
  • Serve as the communication interface between the POs and the larger Party.
  • By county rules, the District Captain is a member of the County Central Committee, the County Vacancy Committee and the County Executive Committee.
