Questions to the International Advisory Board

of COMFORT

1. Different people mean different things when they use the term “tipping point”. Is it a useful term in Earth system science after all or not?
2. How can we exploit (or put to use) the results of COMFORT best after the project will end?
3. Climate scientists still are mainly in the role of showing what is at stake under progressing climate change. Should we adopt perhaps another role, such as developing optimal steering tools through the climate crisis to limit the damage?
