I became a technology teacher a few years ago. Back when it was all about typing. As times have changed, I needed to learn how to adapt to computer life. So, when FDU offered this CS HUB I jumped at the opportunity. It helped me understand and gave me direction on how to implement coding to my very young students. The nice part of this program is that I was able to see others become frustrated just like I do when trying to learn something new on the computer.
The TAś were really good at stepping in and helping. I noticed how they helped and used those skills to help my students. I am still no wiz at coding and some of my second graders code better than me, but it's okay I just want the kids to have fun and explore. Two TAs came to visit me, and they introduced Microbit to some of my students. It was nice to be on the other side along with the students as they were showing and teaching.
Course A Students will learn to program using commands like loops and events. The lessons featured in this course also teach students to meaningfully collaborate with others, investigate different problem-solving techniques, persist in the face of challenging tasks, and learn about internet safety.
