2020-21 Beta Program -- Overview

  • SSC designed to activate the 1-2% of Catholics who want an intentional daily life faith plan

​

  • These, once formed, can then act as an evangelization engine for your parish

  • SSC does not supplant other evangelization efforts, but can synergize with them to make them more effective

​

  • No Cost is involved to a parish for the beta project (individuals purchase own books/materials)

2020-21 BETA PROGRAM -- TIME COMMITMENT

​

  • Pastor needs to allow communication between his beta-groups’ facilitator(s) and SSI

​

  • Pastor will be available for his SSC facilitators (as a group if more than one group) for 15 minutes weekly

​

  • Pastors are invited to meet virtually once a month for 30 minutes with

SSI’s Fr. Watson (Webinar Format for all participating pastors)

2020-21 BETA PROGRAM -- SSC GROUPS

​

  • The project invites parishes to form groups of women and men by gender

​

  • Groups can be for both young adults (TRUE HEART FORMAT) or adults (FORTY WEEKS FORMAT)

​

  • A minimum of 10 and a maximum of 15 people per-group

​

  • A maximum of 4 groups per parish (Adult or Young Adult)

  • Because SSC invites a significant level of engagement, we are only seeking that small percentage of individuals in any faith community who feel a deep desire to be part of this project

​

  • The small group size, and the very limited number of spaces for this test project, will be a benefit in helping identify who is “ready” for this commitment.

  • Use the SSC Candidate Video to promote the project in your parish

​

  • Identify both your adult and young adult teams

​

  • We will need candidates’ Name/Email/Phone for our beta survey

process (A Google Form works well—a sample is in the SSC took-kit)

  • Use the SSC Candidate Video and promotional resources to advertise this project in your parish

​

  • Collect names for both your adult and young adult programs (A Google Form works well—a sample is in the SSC took-kit)

​

  • SSI would like all participating parishes to have groups selected by the Feast of the Assumption, this coming August 15

  • Organization of project will commence in early September once groups are formed in the parishes in mid-August.

  • SSI will coordinate the project with weekly communications, videos, webinars and resources
