  • Introductions
  • Find out what mentee knows about the topic(s).
  • Share your philosophy on mentoring - keep it short.
  • Review all requested materials.
  • Review any prep material provided and answer questions.

  • Provide suggestions for changes with reasons.
  • Always provide encouragement.
  • Discuss tasks for next meeting and schedule it.
  • Wrap up meeting on time.

  • Greet and introduce yourself to the audience.
  • Dress, act and speak professionally.
  • Use good posture.
  • Speak to the back of the audience – always face them.
  • Use a clicker to advance slides.
  • Stand to either side of the screen.
