Moscow

Moscow is the capital of Russia. It is also one of the largest cities, which has so much places of interest. I’d like to tell you about some of the most famous attractions.

The first and the most popular one is the Kremlin, situated on the Red Square. Today, the Kremlin remains as exciting as ever. It is not only one of the largest and most interesting museums in the world, but also the official residence of the President of the Russian Federation.

Another famous place is The State Tretyakov Gallery. This spectacular museum is an essential destination for all visitors of Moscow. The gallery is named after its founder - Pavel Tretiakov. He has bought the building in 1852 and moved his collection of art here. It had taken him more than thirty years to put it all together, and before he died the museum was already open.

One more attraction is The Bolshoi Theatre. The Bolshoi Theatre is a historic theatre, which holds ballet and opera performances. The Bolshoi Ballet and Bolshoi Opera are among the oldest and most renowned ballet and opera companies in the world. There is the world's biggest ballet company, with more than 200 dancers. As a result, prices can be much higher than in other Russian theatres.

Ekaterinburg

Ekaterinburg is the largest administrative, cultural, scientific and educational center of the Ural region. Founded on November 7, in 1723. The name of the city given in honor of Catherine the First. Ekaterinburg — is the fourth by population (after Moscow, Saint Petersburg and Novosibirsk) city in Russia. The city is one of the largest economic centers of the world. The city is included in the list of 600 largest cities in the world. Ekaterinburg is an important administrative centre. Also, the city is often called the "Capital of Urals".

Kursk

Kursk is the city situated on the river Seim. It’s known because of its history - the battle of Kursk was one of the most important events of the World War II, that’s why it is the City of military Glory. Kursk is a great transport hub of the country. The industry is well developed - Kursk NPP (nuclear power plant) is one of the biggest. Red Square is the Central square of Kursk (“red” = beautiful). Kursk is full of attractions like the Arch, Znamensky Cathedral, Stella "City of military Glory", the Building of the Noble Assembly.

Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky is the main administrative, cultural, and industrial center of the Kamchatka. For arriving tourists this city is a main base and they start their trips from it. 198,000 people live in the city.

Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky is a city among volcanoes. In 25 km from the city there is a chain of five volcanoes with two active ones such as Avachinsky and Koryaksky. Always smoking Mutnovsky volcano is clearly seen over Avacha Bay and behind it, rarely but also smoking, Gorely, and significantly closer them all is Vilyuchinsky.

The city is located in the shores of Avacha bay, one of the most picturesque bays of the world, discovered in 1703 by Russian Cossacks shortly after joining Kamchatka to Russian State by Atlasov.

Lake Baikal

Lake Baikal is one of the greatest and beautiful lakes in the world. It is located in the south of the Russian region of Siberia, between Irkutsk region and Buryat Republic. Baikal is the deepest lake,the largest volume of fresh water (20 % of world reserves). About 300 rivers and streams flow into Lake Baikal. Angara is the only river that flows from Lake Baikal. There are more than 20 islands on the lake, the largest of which is Olkhon. Also Baikal is the oldest in the world. Its age is about 25-30 million years old. Scientists estimated that more than 1500 life forms live in and around this lake. That is why, this region received the status of a reserve of planetary importance.

Krasnodar

Krasnodar city in the south of Russia located on the right bank of the river of Kuban to the east from the Black and Azov seas.

The Altai Mountains

  • First of all, the Altai Mountains are famous for their indescribable magic beauty and variety of landscapes. Here you can see picturesque forests, steep cliffs, caves, green meadows, plains and crystal clear mountain rivers and lakes.

In Sochi you can see Park Riviera, Summer Theatre or Library of Pushkin but the first reason to visit this city is for its beautiful beaches and water of the Black Sea.
