1st step: Logging into Schoology through the Milford Portal
3
Next click Accept if you have never logged into schoology before!
4
After you log into your Schoology account, you will see a tour pop up to introduce you to some of the features! Click NEXT for it to take you through this.
5
Next you will see your homepage with all your recent activities. It defaults you to recent activities to keep you informed on all items for your courses.
6
Also on the recent activity page, there is a place where you can see reminders of when items are due in your courses and you can also see overdue assignments that haven’t been turned in.
7
On the top right hand corner of your screen, you can access your personal messages that are sent to you, requests, and notifications. You can only message other teachers not students. You can also access your personal profile by clicking on your name.
To access your courses, click COURSES on the top bar of your screen or click COURSE DASHBOARD and choose the course that you are wanting to enter.
Next click on the RESOURCES tab.
Then click APPS.
Then click GOOGLE DRIVE RESOURCES. Then hit APPROVE. You will only have to do this one time and it connects your Google Drive account to your Schoology account.
When you click on your name, you will hit EDIT to add a bio all about yourself and you will also add how you learn best so your teachers know exactly what they need to do for you!
Next, you will edit your profile picture. To do that, hover over the picture and hit edit picture. Make sure that your picture is school appropriate and you use proper digital citizenship rules when adding your profile picture.
Once in the course, the fun begins! You will notice lots of fun creations in this course. The welcome pictures welcomes you to my online classroom. All the folders below are where your weekly assignments will be.
On the left hand side under the course picture, you will see a bunch of options! Those are important tabs because when those are clicked, it will take you to those items (Material for class, updates, your grades, Mastery of a skill, etc.) THOSE ARE IMPORTANT!
If you scroll down on your course, you will see folders that your teacher has created for you with activities and assignments inside. Click on the folder you are needing to go to and follow the directions inside.
