Porridge
A very nourishing and filling breakfast is porridge. It contributes to a balanced diet as it contains lots of vitamins, minerals, proteins and fibres.
Fibres stimulate digestion and keep the blood sugar level constant.

Ingredients for a Vegan Porridge
600 ml of almond milk
160 g of oat meal
1 apple
1 banana
100 g of raspberries
2 tbsp of maple sirup
1 tbsp of flax seed
1 tsp of cinnamon
apple-mango pulp (optional)

Step 1
Put oat meal and almond milk into a saucepan, boil it up and simmer for 5 to 6 minutes (Almond milk is a good substitute for ordinary milk, because it contains less saturated fat).
Remember stirring all the time so that the porridge will not stick to the bottom of your pan.

Step 2
In the meantime, you can cut the apple into small pieces and add it to the simmering porridge.
At the same time you can add the raspberries.

Step 3
Now you can add a tablespoon of flax seed ( flax seeds are high in omega-3 fats, rich in dietary fiber and stimulate digestion), a teaspoon of cinnamon and two tablespoons of maple sirup to sweeten your porridge.
After stirring several times, your porridge is nearly ready and you can put it into a bowl.

Step 4
As a last step you can add some toppings to make your porridge look delicious:
You can cut your banana into thin slices and place it on the porridge.
Optionally you can add some apple-mango pulp for a fruity taste.
