If you want to add an image to your article, first you will need to upload it to the Kings Wiki Commons.

You can often find suitable images via Google Image Search (http://images.google.com). Right-click an image, then click “Copy image URL” (or your browser’s equivalent).

If the image already exists on the English Wikipedia or the Wikimedia Commons, you can begin using it immediately in articles without needing to first upload it to the Kings Wiki Commons. Kings Wiki has the “instant commons” feature that will automatically detect and download such images as needed.

Once you have copied the URL of an image, go to http://commons.kingswiki.com/wiki/Special:Upload and paste the URL into the “Source URL” field. Then click “Upload file”.

11 of 16

You should now see a screen like this, showing the uploaded file and its filename:

Now, go back to Kings Wiki (http://en.kingswiki.com/) and use the search bar to navigate back to the article that you want to add the image to.

13 of 16

When the article appears, click “Edit”.

Add the following wikitext to add a gallery section that includes the image you uploaded, and click “Save page”:

==Gallery==

<gallery>

File:Classical-Music-Wallpaper-667x417.jpg

</gallery>

The article now has a gallery section with the uploaded image.
