ALL DRAMA COURSES!

A. COURSE DESCRIPTION

Drama courses are intended to promote students' experience and skill development in one or more aspects of theatrical production. Initial courses are introductory in nature, while more advanced courses focus on improving technique, expand students' exposure to different types of theatrical techniques and traditions, and increasing their capacity to participate in public performances.

B. METHOD OF INSTRUCTION While primarily a hands-on, on-your-feet class, expect daily assignments, projects, papers, tests, and both solo and group performances. Formative and summative tests will be standards-based.

C. COURSE OBJECTIVES.

  • Students will be able to analyze character development through written and

performance presentations

  • Students will be able to analyze plot through written and performance presentations.
  • Students will be able to analyze theme through written and performance presentations.
  • Students will be able to verbally, and in writing, evaluate performances of other students and self.

Graduation and this Course

  1. This course meets the Fine Arts requirement, in A-G, which all students need to graduate.

  • After Drama 1, students may take Drama Workshop which meets ADDITIONAL ELECTIVE CREDITS for students to graduate.

Policy on late work:

*Work for the quarter may only be accepted up until the end of each quarter. Keep in mind that work not submitted on time may be graded at a later time.

*All submissions are done through Google Classroom or Flipgrid
