6th Amendment by Alina Fernandez

The sixth amendment ensures that a person who is accused of crime has a quick, public trial by an opened-minded jury. The requirement for a speedy and public trial has grew out of the fact that some political trials in england had delayed for years and then were held in secret.people have the right to be lawyer. In the united states, accused people must be informed of the charges against them and must be allowed witnesses against them face to face.this means that people who were accused for a crime, will be informing charges face to face.this amendment guarantees that people on trial can face and cross-examine those who have accused them.they may be able to show that their accusers lied or made a mistake.finally, accused individuals must have a lawyer to defend them if they want one.

7

Rights to a Fair Trial

“In all criminal prosecution, the accused people shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial ,by an impartial of the state and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law,and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation;to be confronted with the witnesses against him;to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the assistance of counsel for his defence.”

10th Amendment by Matthew Gonzalez

  • The tenth amendment means the national government cannot take control of everything the states do.
  • So that means the people who live in different states could have their own laws also the people that live in that state take control of things like marriage and divorce.
  • However the Constitution says the national government can make laws for the states that are necessary and proper to carry out its specific powers.
  • Having those rules make it hard to determine the exact rights of different states.

11

The powers not delegated to the united states by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.
