Students find a paw, feathers and a turkey wing on school grounds.

They hypothesize about what happened to the turkey. They elaborate theories about what happened to the turkey. Who is his predator? How did the turkey die? Was is it in the schoolyard? ...etc. (Links to Science contents)

Je crois qu’un hibou a attaqué la dinde.

I think an owl attacked the turkey.

I think it’s a coyote because the owl is too small and it doesn’t eat turkeys, it mostly eats rodents.

I also think that a coyote attacked the turkey!

Students decide they want to prepare a report about the turkey and present it to the school through the school tv. (Writing and Oral Communication)

They decide to invite the whole school to do research on finding the turkeys’ predator. A research project has thus been launched in all the classes of the school in order to find the turkeys’ predator.
