Ways to Practice

  1. Go to Mathigon
  2. Create a parent account.
  3. Have your child use your code and go to Multiplication by Heart for 5 minutes a day.

Growth Mindset and Math

  1. Set aside a few minutes every day to practice with your child.
  2. Start by showing your child how many they already know!
    1. Highlight the ones your child knows on this chart.
  3. Post a times table chart where your child will see it often.
    • Discuss patterns in the whole chart.
    • Teach the commutative property. (3 x 2 is the same as 2 x 3)
  4. Teach growth mindset, celebrate growth, and have fun!
