Because one of the top areas of focus for phase 2 of Kadet Wallet is on building a website to market and support it, the research team began researching the websites of 6 competitors:

  • MetaMask
  • Phantom
  • Clover
  • X-Wallet
  • Terra
  • XDefi Wallet

We plan to present our key findings from the competitive analysis to the rest of the team as soon as possible.

Grooming sessions with Design for Testnet ticket

    • Overview
      1. Phase 1 - User stories and acceptance criteria are done
      2. Review Questions from Phase 1 designers about Testnet
    • Takeaways
      • Hadi’s explanation: The purpose of Testnet to the users is to not take risk of making mistake by sending Token. Usually the users will go to test the network on Testnet first then go to the Maintest after testing successfully. It will be on the same blockchain with Mainnet but with fake tokens on Testnet.
      • Anthony’s thoughts: As a user, they might not know what the Testnet is. Onboarding may help.
      • Product and Design team need to review ‘Design Critique’ from Morgan → Product will prioritize to update requirements/acceptance criteria → Review → Design starts working on user flow and lo-fi wireframe

Grooming sessions with Research and Design for ‘onboarding flow’ ticket

    • Overview
      • No extensive usability testing (it was for lo-fi) and no research on user onboarding flow.
      • During the usability testing on Creating Your Wallet Account - users got stuck when re-entering the seed phrase, the users got mixed up trying to select the seed phrase and filling them in the field in chronological order just the way it is on the screen, “they weren’t reading the instructions”.
    • Next steps
      • Product - set up ‘Exploratory Research for Onboarding’ ticket
      • Product - define what flows/user stories need to be tested
      • Product - work with research team to define questions for user testing.
