Autoshop
“Build and race your own cars in person and online”
Note: This presentation deck is intended to simulate a pitch for an entrepreneurial opportunity. I am not seeking financing.
How do our children play?
Online first-person shooter games (just a “bit” antisocial)
How do our children play?
Playing sports, though “games” are much more structured than “play” and don’t fully engage all players or capture full attention
How do our children play?
Or not playing at all, and just posting and viewing on social media like TikTok (which damages their mental health)
Introducing Autoshop
Kids build their own cars and race them, both in the store and virtually, and race them.
Autoshop lets kids build in the physical world and the digital world through a positive social experience with friends, family, and community.
Aspects of our unique value proposition
Create opportunities and environments for kids to design, build, and race their own radio-controlled (RC) cars and virtual cars
Generate revenues through car and merchandise purchases and sponsored in-store events AND through advertising online from relevant sponsors and premium membership subscriptions
Kids build and race their own physical cars, building their mechanical skills, attention, confidence, and self-esteem
Kids design, build, and race their own fleet of virtual cars
Physical location is at old gasoline stations we convert to shops; no malls to navigate
Differentiation: Autoshop provides attention-building, positive social entertainment
We like toys, so we’re not competing against them. We’re competing against the unhealthy or attention-destroying activities kids currently do
| Autoshop’s value propositions | What kids currently do |
Providing positive opportunities to build social and creative skills | Build and race toy cars, both physically and virtually | Kill virtual people with virtual “toy” guns; lots of them |
Experiencing the joy of play | Experience in “flow” with constant engagement of attention and effort | Play with the dirt in the outfield or goal box |
Developing self-esteem, thinking, mechanical, and social skills | Develop mechanical, thinking, and social skills in positive setting | Destroy their mental health by chasing FOMO and “likes” on platforms crowded by strangers, trolls, or bullies |
