Good News on School Taxes 🏫💰

The tax rate and amount collected from property taxes for school use will be lower than expected, thanks to increased state funds for property tax relief.

Last November, voters approved a $3.6 million supplemental levy, and we projected the total tax rate could be $114.76 per $100,000 of property value. Instead, it will be $47.68 per $100,000.

What changed?

New homes and businesses have added to the tax base 🏡🏢
The state increased property tax relief.

Because of this funding:� ✔️ No property taxes will be collected this year to pay school bonds. State funds will be used.� ✔️ $450,000 of the $3.6 million supplemental levy also will be covered by the state fund.
