Establishing Shot
This establishing shot allows us to develop the setting of our story. It shows how the USB (our main character) is placed in regard to the computer (the end destination).
Medium Shot
This medium shot allows us to develop the problem of our story. It shows that the USB is lost, and can’t find its way home.
Medium Shot
This next medium shot allows us to show the audience what the USB is thinking and going through. It shows that the USB has to find a way home, all while simultaneously creating a sense of urgency with the thoughts/dialogue. This helps to fully develop the problem that the USB is in.
Wide Shot
This wide shot allows us to show the main problem that the USB is facing. It helps the audience see that the USB is deserted, with no possible assistance to support the USB on its journey.
Medium Shot
This medium shot allows us to show the audience what the USB is thinking and going through. It shows that the USB is getting stressed, wondering how it will get home, and trying to find a solution.
Over the Shoulder Shot
This over the shoulder shot allows us to show the audience the path that the USB has found to complete its journey to the laptop, which is where its “home” is.
Long Shot
This long shot allows the audience to see that the USB has evaluated its situation and can see now that its only option to get to its home is by crossing the bridge.
Long Shot
We use this long shot to show that the USB is now onto the bridge. It has begun the most dangerous part of its journey back home.
Point of View Shot
We use this point of view shot to show that the journey that the USB is taking, from the perspective of the USB. By doing this, we allow the audience to further connect personally with the USB as they feel like they themselves are on this journey.
High Angle Long Shot
We use this high angle long shot to show that the USB has reached the halfway point on its journey on the bridge. We create a sense of fear, allowing the audience to see the urgency of the USB crossing the bridge carefully, otherwise it will fall off.
Low Angle Long Shot
We use this low angle long shot to show that the USB has successfully crossed the bridge. We use this shot to display that the USB is now at a position of power after having gone through this dangerous journey. By keeping the laptop in the background, we remind the audience that the USB’s journey is not over just yet.
Two Shot with subject on 1/3 of frame
We use this two shot to show the relationship between the USB and the computer. This shot is what establishes that the USB’s journey has almost come to an end, and that it is only frames away from arriving home.
Extreme Close Up
We use this extreme close up to show the USB connector and the port in which the USB must be inserted into. It allows us to create a sense of suspense, where the audience wonders if the USB will finally be at home.
Close Up
We use this close up to show the USB has been connected into the USB port. This allows us to create a sense of relief, showing that everything is going according to plan as of now, and the USB could finally be at home.
Close Up
We use this close up to the Home Folder in the computer. This allows us to close the story and show that after this long and enduring journey that the USB has faced, it has finally gotten home.
