BPYBA team structure

  • BPYBA believes in keeping kids in their respective grade level. Players will not be allowed to try out for an older team.
  • Teams will consist of a maximum of 12 players.
  • Teams will be split by tryout scores and previous years evaluations.
  • Unfortunately, we do cut kids to keep these roster limits.
  • At the 9u level, we will take third graders before reaching into 2nd grade.
  • In the rare occasion that we are not able to field a team at a certain level, we will make accommodations to place players that want to play on a team. If this means moving them up or down an age level.

Code of Conduct

Please remember, our actions at games represent what people think about our kids and our city. Every sport is seeing a decline in officials. Harassment of umpires will not be tolerated by BYPBA coaches, parents, or players.

Cheer for our kids and teammates, not against other kids!

Violations of our code of conduct will result in suspension of future games, or if circumstances dictate, a complete ban from all future BPYBA events.

We all want to win, but let’s remember it is just a game. A bad call in a youth baseball game isn’t going to cost anyone a trip to the big leagues. Let’s all do our part in representing Belle Plaine and our kids in a positive way.
