2026 Data Exchange dates

IDOE Data Exchange will be upgraded to Ed-Fi ODS/API v7.3 and Data Standard 5.2

• Vendor Dev Environment will be available on December 2, 2024
• Vendor 7.3 Documentation will be available on November 13, 2024
• UPDATED: Vendor Certification Scenarios will be available by February 18, 2025
• UPDATED: Vendor Badging will begin on February 25, 2025
• Vendor Badging will be completed by May 30, 2025
• Go Live on July 1, 2025, for school year 2025-2026

• Ed-Fi changed the data type from int to long to support bigger ed org identifiers
• EducationOrganizationId

• IDOE will continue to use the same 10 digit ed org ids

StudentSpecialEducationProgramAssociation

• PowerSchool Special Programs is the IEP vendor for all public school customers in Indiana
• PowerSchool Special Programs will submit SPED data to DEX for public schools
• SIS vendors cannot submit SPED data for public school customers in Indiana
• SIS vendors can only read SPED data from DEX for public schools
• SIS vendors can submit SPED data to DEX for non-public school customers

• Noticed AdditionalEdOrgResponsibilities.SchoolCorpId has 4-digit school corp ID codes
• Will be enforcing a reference to EducationOrganization so it will accept only 10-digit ids
• New field name will be SchoolCorpEducationOrganizationReference.EducationOrganizationId

Good Cause Exemption

• Good cause exemption is not an accommodation for IREAD-3 testing
• EntryGradeLevelReasonDescriptor in ed-fi/studentSchoolAssociations will be used to collect this data for any 4^th grade students that did not pass IREAD-3

• New resource to collect graduation plan for students entering high school grades
• List of IDOE graduation plans can be obtained from the ed-fi/graduationPlans resource
• Submit graduation plan using the idoe/studentSchoolGraduationPlans resource
