How to Take a Good Picture

You want to tell a story with your picture so thinking about an action shot (jumping) and your facial expressions.
You want the sun shining on your face.
Take 5-6 different pictures with at least 3 angles of each. This will give you choices when convert to contrast.

Things to think about when taking picture

Be careful of textured Backgrounds

Make clothing opposite color of background

Plain, light Background Dark clothing works well!

How to Change Picture to Contrast

Start by downloading your photo to your drive.
Insert your picture into a google doc.
Select the picture
Click on the image options tab in your tool bar. Your image has to be selected for this to appear.
Click Recolor option to the right.
Click on the recolor menu that pops up and select Black and White.
Click on the Adjustments tab.
Set the contrast all the way to the right
Adjust if too dark.
Once you have your best contrast image, show Mrs. V
You are now ready to print to a transparency.

Contrast: The difference between 2 things, such as a dark color and a light color.

Tracing to Final Paper

You want to fill the whole 18 x 24 inch paper.

Scoot the projector back to make image larger.

Use the dial to focus the image.

You need to leave yourself enough time to trace entire image! It is almost impossible to line up if you don’t finish!
