  1. About the Department

The Department of ECE was established in the year 2001. Presently, the department offers a 4-years undergraduate program (B. Tech in ECE). The primary goal of starting this program is to produce highly skilled young engineers so that they can contribute to various industry and academy jobs. The curriculum of the department is regularly updated to accommodate the latest developments and breakthroughs in various fields of Electronics & Communication Engineering. The department has expertise in the areas of Optical Fiber Communication, DSP & Embedded systems, Microelectronics, Antenna systems, VLSI, Computer Networking, Wireless Communication, Microwave Engineering etc. The department is well equipped with modern laboratory equipment and has dedicated faculty members, engaged to enhance the knowledge, skill & talents of the students.

  • To provide State-of-art technical education in the Electronics and Communication at undergraduate and post-graduate levels.
  • To impart education and updated knowledge to make students competent enough in the areas of Electronics & Communication Engineering by imparting quality education and training in global perspectives with optimal mix of inputs pertaining to various domains like Optical Communication Systems, RF Electronics, Analog & Digital Communication systems.

  • “Hands-on workshop on Arduino:Explore sensor interfacing and hardware fundamentals” on 12 th Dec 2024, from 8.30 – 2.30 PM for 1st-year students.
  • This workshop provided students with a foundational understanding of the Arduino Uno microcontroller and its practical applications in embedded systems. Participants explored the hardware aspects of Arduino and gain experience by interfacing various sensors and components.

Workshop Highlights:

  • Introduction to Arduino Uno: Understanding the board, pins, and setup.
  • Hands-on practice with sensors and components:

Session conducted on “Overseas Education and Opportunities” in collaboration with Global Reach for 1st year students on 16 Dec.

This session provided valuable insights into:

Industrial visit to IIT Jodhpur for 1st year students on 11th December as part of the Environment Studies course. The visit provided students with a unique opportunity to connect the theoretical knowledge from the classroom to real-world applications in the fields of biodiversity, ecosystems, ecology, and sustainability. Students gained practical insights into the concepts of biodiversity, ecosystem functioning, and ecology. It was coordinated by Faculty coordinators Prof. Kamlesh Parihar and Ms. Pooja Gupta.

  • Students registered for bizstart and undertook assessment test. Bizstart is a pre - incubation technology platform that aims to equip students with the skills, knowledge, and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Students can access over 800 genuine business opportunities and problem statements for hands-on learning.

Resume building session by Dr. Deepak Bissa on 23 dec for 6th sem students to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge to craft a compelling and professional resume. Students learnt the fundamentals of resume writing, including how to effectively highlight their academic achievements, skills, experiences, and extracurricular activities. Total 33 students attended.
