Practice Standards:

16 of 17

Time to try…

  • Find an activity, assessment, assignment, etc. that you currently use to assess students in your classroom
  • Find the standard that this assignment addresses (USBE - Core Guides) https://www.schools.utah.gov/curr/mathematics/coreguides
  • Find the corresponding proficiency scales

https://sites.google.com/granitesd.org/gsd-elementary-mathematics/home

  • Align your assignment to the proficiency scale, determine what a student must do/show to be a level 1, 2, 3, 4
  • Is there anything about this assignment that needs to be changed to more accurately address the standard?
  • How will this assignment be graded?
