Respect the privacy of others users. Do not transmit information sent to you without first asking the sender. The same applies to posting or sending photos or videos that include other people.

And remember,if you add tags to people on Social Media other users may have access to those people's images unless they have adjusted their privacy settings

Avoid abusive comment. You can express your strong disagreement with what someone says, but don’t use abusive epithets or threaten them with personal violence.

Do not spam . that is, don’t repeatedly post the same advertisement for products or services . most sites have strict and specific rules about who is allowed to post ads and what kind of ads they are.

Write in a clear and concise manner.On a site that has many users from different age groups or nationalities, avoid using jargon they may not understand

Remember that your posts are public. They can be read by your spouse, your children, your parents or your employer. If you wouldn’t do something publicly, don’t do it online.

Do not exclude your audience.If you have a personal joke to share with another person or a small number of people in a larger online group,send them a private message. Don’t make everyone else feel left out.

Don ‘t add to friends and then delete them, because it can be offensive to someone. Think before you add or accept a friends invitation. If you don ‘t want to stay in touch with them, don ‘t add them.

Check that the facts are valid before you share a new share a news story.Develop critical thinking and trust your instincts and logic.
