Alphabetography

2 of 3

Task: Today's mission is to find and photograph the letters that make up your name or a word. Note, you cannot just photograph letters; instead you must look around you carefully to find objects that look like letters. Be creative!!

Step 1: Use your cell phone to photograph the letters of your name or choose a special word. You must work in pairs or groups of 3 - get a photo pass.

Step 2: Import into Photoshop. Have fun when editing them - go wild with the saturation levels or convert them all to grayscale (black and white), etc. Just make sure that they look like they all belong together.

Step 3: Crop the photos so that they are all the same size - make sure that they all line up when you put them together (remember how you did the split screen photo).

Optional - Apply a photo gradient map to unify the colors.

Step 3: Save the finished project as a .jpg file.
