Effects Based on Research
FINDINGS
The study revealed that the use of multimedia IEC (Information, Education, and Communication) materials significantly enhanced environmental awareness and science performance among Grade 8 students. The pre-test and post-test results demonstrated a marked improvement in students' understanding of environmental issues and scientific concepts after exposure to the developed IEC materials. Additionally, students exhibited a greater ability to apply their knowledge to real-life environmental situations, indicating a deeper comprehension and retention of the information presented.
Student feedback also highlighted the engaging and interactive nature of the multimedia IEC materials, which contributed to their increased interest in environmental topics. The integration of videos, animations, and interactive activities was particularly effective in making complex concepts more accessible and relatable. This engagement translated into higher levels of participation and enthusiasm in class discussions and activities related to environmental science.
