Begin Course
Hello! Welcome to CRO University.
In this course, we're going to cover the Calendar page.
Please click the Begin Course to get started.
First, let’s head to the Calendar.
In CRO, the Calendar is the easiest way to associate jobs with days of the month. Let's head there, now, to dive right in.
This option shows the current week, instead of the whole month.
Sure enough, the first thing we're met with is a calendar showing the entire month! You'll notice that the only days we can select are the ones that have jobs on them. By default, we're looking at today. Let's say you don't want to see the whole month, though. Click here to reduce this calendar to this week.
This will show a job that is scheduled, but not yet dispatched.
Did you see that? Not only did we clean up this page a bit, but now our jobs for today are much more accessible! Before we get into those, though, I do want to draw some attention to the calendar, itself.
First, you'll see that each day with jobs will display the number of jobs on that day, as well as this little icon, right here. Let's click it to see what it does.
Click anywhere outside of the box to close it.
Ah, you see, this isn't an active job but, instead, is a job that's SCHEDULED to be dispatched. That means there's another job, before it, that needs to be completed before this job is generated.
Let's close out of here, for now, though by clicking outside of this box.
Switch from seeing “All” trucks to seeing an individual truck.
Alright, just below our calendar we have this dropdown that'll let you choose which Trucks you're currently viewing. Right now, it's set to "All" trucks. Let's change that.
Let’s select the CRO University truck.
Look at that! You can even show jobs that are currently unassigned. For now, though, let's pick the CRO University truck. Why not?
Clicking here will show us a print out of today’s jobs for this truck.
Boom. Instantly, we're only seeing jobs that are scheduled for the CRO University truck for today. Neat! You'll notice, too, that the entire calendar changes to reflect the jobs for this truck. Speaking of trucks, just beneath that truck selector are a set of icons. Let's click on the printer option, for starters.
Click here to close this print preview and return to the Calendar.
Yup. It's a print out! Pretty much what you would expect, eh? Let's cancel out of this and move onto the next icon.
Click here to see why this icon looks so familiar.
This next one should look familiar from the Dispatching and Daily Truck List courses.
We’ve covered the Customer Center, so let’s go back to the Calendar.
That's right! This icon always opens up the Customer Center. If you recall, you can also get here from hovering over Customers and clicking, "Customer Center." No need to be in here, for now, though as we're focusing on the Calendar page.
This icon opens the ability to manually dispatch your automated routes.
Following the Customer Center shortcut, this next icon will open up a pop up window that shows the current GPS position for each of your trucks. After that, this next icon will take you directly to the Daily Truck List, followed by the shortcut to the Daily Truck Map. Be sure to check those courses out for more information. How about this last one?
No need to dispatch any routes right now, so we can close this.
Ahhh, this one harkens back to the Routes course. This is where you can manually dispatch routes, rather than waiting for them to automatically dispatch! Excellent. We don't need this at the moment, though.
These job requests are interactive so you can make any changes necessary.
Let's move onto the jobs, themselves. Can you guess what happens when you click on one?
Let’s close the Customer Center, again.
Indeed, it'll open the full job in the Customer Center where you can make any adjustments necessary. We've covered the Customer Center, though, so we can head out of here.
This option should look familiar from the Customer Center.
Speaking of the customer center, these last two options are shortcuts to features found in there. This first one gives you access to the Additional Products and Services popup, and this hamburger button works exactly like it does in the Customer Center.
Here, let me show you...
Mhm. You can complete, fail and otherwise process this job right from the Calendar page. Talk about handy! Our final icon, here, will bring up a map showing the physical location of this job request. It's kind of like the Request Map, but with only one, single job in mind.
And... yeah! That about does it for the Calendar page. Very straightforward, very simple and very helpful.
This concludes our course on the Calendar page. Please click the “X" button at the top right.
