Purpose for this Session…

Infinite Campus is the new SIS for North Carolina. While there are many similarities in the functionality and purpose of PowerSchool and Infinite Campus; there are navigational, vernacular, and UI (user interface) differences between the two.

Our purpose today is to provide you with an overview of Infinite Campus and provide you with resources that are easily accessible.

Favorites

To set a tool as a Favorite:

  • Navigate to the tool.
  • Click the beside the tool name under the banner (green for live, orange for training).
  • The tool is now added to your Favorites list.

To remove a tool from Favorites:

  1. Go to the tool.
  2. Click the beside the tool name under the banner (green for live, orange for training).
  3. The tool has now been removed from your Favorites list.

To reorder your Favorites List:

  1. Go to Favorites.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Drag and drop the tools to the order you desire.
  4. Click Save.

  • Update Preferences as you’d like.
  • Click on the Save button.

  • From the Teaching Center, click on the course card.
  • You will see your Class Info and the Classroom view with any assignments due today.
  • You can take attendance and add items from this screen.

  • Click on Students to access the Roster for the course.
  • Click on Grades to see the Gradebook for the course.

  • Student Advisory detail including grades, assignments to be done, and attendance information for all courses is displayed.

  • From the Teaching Center, click on the course card you want

  • Click on Students

  • Click on Seating Charts

  • Click on the New button to create a new seating chart.

  1. Select P (Present), A (Absent), or T (Tardy) for each student. Note: Present is the default selection. Any students not changed to A (Absent) or T (Tardy) will be counted present.

  • If A or T is selected, a comment bubble will appear for teacher comments regarding attendance.

  • Press Save at the bottom right of the screen.
