Scope of Work
SCSD is seeking proposals from services providers to provide network connectivity from its Network Operations Center (Point 1) connecting both Midway Elementary (Point 2) and San Antonio (Point 3).
As detailed below the district is seeking bids on a self-provisioned fiber network and services over a third-party network as required by E-Rate rules. Services over a third-party network include, but are not limited to, lit fiber, dark fiber, and fixed wireless services. The proposed solution must offer a stable and resilient connectivity that is scalable to 10 Gbps.
Proposals offering self-provisioned fiber are asked to provide pricing for 12 strands of fiber for a total of six pairs.
All proposals MUST provide the total cost to install the proposed services, including all make ready costs and engineering. Proposals with incomplete pricing may be considered unresponsive.
SCSD already owns the necessary network equipment, including switches and transceivers at each location so that the fiber can be lit following installation.
The new service is planned to begin on July 1, 2022. As per E-Rate rules, if special construction is required, the service must be lit and functional by June 30, 2023.
