Students are welcome to visit the classroom library freely throughout the day as they finish assignments. No more than three students are allowed to sit at the library at a time. This is due to space.

Students are allowed to look at one book at a time. If you are unsure where to put the book back, then place it in the empty bin beside the shelf and I will store it later.

There are pens and sticky notes for students to mark their places in books they are currently reading. Please, do not move someone else’s sticky note.

I truly LOVE helping students pick out books. Parents and students both, feel free to let me know books that your child is interested in. I will do my best to find books for them.

Thanks in advance for taking care of and respecting our classroom library!

At the beginning of the year, we will spend a significant amount of time learning the classroom expectations.

Ultimately, each expectation falls under the category of being safe, respectful, and responsible, as well as trying your best.

Students are expected to follow

these rules in all classrooms, not just

their homeroom.

This also includes the hallway,

restroom, and cafeteria.

Students are expected to abide by the rules of our campus handbook as well as the classroom rules.

Simply following the expectations to be safe, respectful, and responsible should account for most behavior related incidents in the classroom as well as in the cafeteria, on the playground, in the hallway, and in the classroom of other teachers.

It is my goal to work together with you in order to ensure success for your child. A plan of action and intervention will be established through parent/teacher conversation if needed.
