4. RECEIVING GIFTS

  • Do you have a child who just jumps for joy and smiles from ear to ear at the moment you say “I have something for you!” They get so excited at the fact that there is a gift hiding somewhere behind you that they basically tackle you until you give up and hand the gift over. Your child probably has the love language of receiving gifts.

  • Gifts are more than just material things -they can be a symbol of appreciation, value, sacrifice, love, devotion, apologies, and celebration

  • For children who have this as their primary love language, physical touch communicates love to them more deeply than giving them praise, buying a gift, or fixing a toy.
