  • Text placement should be consistent

Text Size

  • Keep your text legible
    • 24 point is the smallest for most situations
    • Text can be smaller for individual playback

Font Style

  • Select simple, bold, standard font styles
  • Two type faces are enough for most presentations
  • Avoid novelty fonts (i.e. Old English)
  • Delicate “Serif” fonts, such as Times New Roman may be difficult to read
  • Use sentence case
  • ALL CAPITALIZED LETTERS SHOULD BE AVOIDED

  • Keep it simple; when in doubt, do without
  • Use the fewest words possible; distill your message to its essence
    • Rule of 6: no more than 6 lines, no more than 6 words per line
