Learning Target: I can read to page 80 of Night by Elie Wiesel, take notes during the novel in my Reader Response Journal, and fill in an Unforgettable Moment about hope, loyalty, or love.
Summative Timed Writing: Explanation
Review the timed writing rubric linked here.��Prompt: Use textual evidence and analysis to explain how there is hope in the midst of despair, loyalty in a time of betrayal, and/or love/friendship or good in a time of evil in Night by Elie Wiesel.��In addition to meeting the criteria on the rubric, write at least 3 paragraphs (for a ‘3’) or 4-5 paragraphs (for a ‘4’) following the Kinard Essay Format to answer the prompt. You will have about 60 minutes.
We will do the timed writing during class on Thursday, 12/1 (odd) and Friday, 12/2 (even).
