Once while he was in paushadh, he was preaching dharma to people and Suddenly a scared pigeon came & sat on his lap & said to save him. Raja Meghrath shows kindness and said not to worry. No one will kill you.

After sometime, one hawk came there and said to king Meghrath, “this is my prey and give it to me.”

King said, He came to me so will not give pigeon but “I will give you something else to eat.” But the hawk said, “I don’t eat anything else then your meat and it should be equal to the weight of Pigeon.”

King Meghrath agreed and asked to bring weighing machine. On one side he kept the pigeon & on the other side he started keeping meat of his body but still both the side didn’t balance.

Finally when he kept his whole body, people started to stop the king but to save one pigeon he was ready to die. Nobody was able to see this.

Suddenly, the pigeon and the hawk disappeared. And A Dev appeared there. Everyone got surprised and no one was able to understand.

The Dev bowed to the king & asked for apology. Dev explained that he came to test raja. Bowed for your kindness.

After that, the king took diksha & started preaching to public. He did Tapasya of 20 sthanak. Because of this he got “Tirthankar nam karan”.
