Using R to retrieve the data for the indicators
Females are less frequently uninsured and die less frequently of cancer
But the percentage of uninsured population and the cancer mortality rate don’t seem to correlate
Wrap-Up and further work
There is an indication, that in major us cities females are less frequently uninsured and less likely to die of cancer. However, it is not clear if health insurance and cancer mortality are related. Further research is required on these issues, for which the BCHI dataset provides a good basis.
