Exploring NotebookLM: An AI Research Assistant for Academic Work
Wednesday, 10/29/25 at 2:00 PM via Zoom
Join us for a demonstration of NotebookLM, Google’s AI research assistant that works exclusively with sources you provide. Unlike general AI tools, NotebookLM is “grounded” in your specific materials—articles, PDFs, notes—allowing focused conversations with your sources while reducing hallucinations. We’ll explore its research capabilities and its Audio Overview feature that generates podcast-style summaries. Discover how this tool might support your research, teaching, and course preparation.
Even if you’ve attended a previous session, NotebookLM has received significant updates over the past six months that are worth exploring.
Presented by Alan Cafferkey, Director (Fordham IT Educational Technologies)
