What is the Pocket Pantry
- Texas A&M Pocket Pantry started in 2020 after a need to help our students on campus who were experiencing food insecurity
- We started out with 8 pantries around campus, housed in various departments.
- Since then, we have grown to a little more than 30 pantries across Main Campus and West Campus!
- Student Assistance Services serves as the liaison to all pantries to help keep them stocked and coordinate any specific items they might need.
- Some pantries on campus are self-sufficient, meaning they receive any food donations through their own means and do not always require our assistance.
- Each pantry varies in size, items available, and the demographic they serve.
