SECTION 10. XXX UPDATING AND UPGRADING OF KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND VALUES AND QUALIFICATIONS STANDARDS FOR THE PRACTICE OF PROFESSIONS. - XXX, THE CPD IS HERE BY MADE AS A MANDATORY REQUIREMENT IN UPDATING AND UPGRADING OF KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND VALUES AND THE QUALIFICATION OF STANDARDS OR TITLES OF ALL REGISTERED AND LICENSED PROFESSIONALS UNDER THE REGULATION OF THE PRC AND AS ONE OF THE MAIN OBJECTIVES OF PQF AND SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING.

SECTION 10. CPD as Mandatory Requirement in the Renewal of Professional License and Accreditation System for the Practice of Professions. - The CPD is hereby made as a mandatory requirement in the renewal of the PICs of all registered and licensed professionals under the regulation of the PRC.

SELF DIRECTED LEARNING
Learning activities such as online training, local/international seminar/non degree courses, institution/company-sponsored training programs, and the likes which did not undergo CPD accreditation but may be awarded CPD units. These are driven by one's need and motivation to learn either through a professional activity or volunteer engagement.

INFORMAL LEARNING
Refers to learning that occurs in daily life which can contribute to a qualification. There must be RELEVANT to the profession.

Refers to any participation that a professional gains while working in a specific field and workplace.

ONLINE LEARNING ACTIVITIES
Refers to structured or unstructured learning initiatives, which make use of the internet and other web-based information and communication technology solutions.
Professionals may eventually use CPD activities for Career Progression and Specialization to gain higher qualification. They shall submit the learning outcomes for evaluation and recognition of the CPD Council.
